"All's Well that Ends Well" and Three Years of Casino Free

See video

Above you will see a skit by Puppet Uprising. It was originally performed as a part of their May Day show, and again at a recent town hall hosted by Casino Free Philly. If you havent seen it, your missing one of the funnest takes of life in "a common wealth where the wealth was not so common..."

Also, Casino Free recently sent an inspiring email thanking their supporters as they reach there third year of leading the fight to keep slot machines out of Philadelphia. The message is copied below.

Ohh, and if you missed it last week, sign the petition to make sure no blank check is given by our city politicians to this predatory industry - here.

On June 1st, 2006, we staged our first event, over 200 people
joined together for a rally to oppose casinos and call for greater
transparency and more public input.

Three successful years later, our goal remains the same. We are going
to stop casinos from coming to Philly. Casino corporations have tried
but failed to break ground in Philly. Our organizing has made the
difference. And our next event, Beat the House, is only 5 days away,
you can sign up by clicking here.

Our not-so-secret mission is to build a community that can't be
trampled on by politicians, predatory industries, or anything else that
threatens the stability and well-being of Philadelphia. And that's
exactly what we've done.  We take action that empowers us, the people.
That's why we've come so far and why we'll continue to succeed.

Please attend Beat the House on June 6th, and help us prepare for it. We need volunteers all week, so please email Lily at Lily@casinofreephila.org

See you on Saturday,

- Jethro, Lily, Ivan and the rest of the Casino-Free Philly Organizing Team
