Emergency Homeowner Loan Program

I recently talked with the Philadelphia Unemployment Project (PUP) about sheriff sales that are being held on April, 5th 2011.  Many of these homes would qualify for assistance from HUD's Emergency Homeowner Loan Program (EHLP), if homeowners could be given the chance to apply.  Foreclosures could be avoided, homes could be preserved, mortgage investors and banks would be paid and ongoing payments for up to 24 months could be provided.  PUP believes giving hundreds of homeowners an opportunity to receive help from EHLP is a valid reason to stay the April sheriff sale.  People who want to try to save thier homes should call the hot line at 215-334-home [4663].
